Key Responsibilities

List Building and Prospecting:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify and build lists of potential clients within the African diaspora.
  • Utilize various tools and databases to gather relevant information on prospects.
  • Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate prospect information.

Outreach and Lead Generation:

  • Initiate contact with potential clients through multiple channels (email, phone, social media, etc.).
  • Craft personalized and compelling outreach messages to engage prospects.
  • Qualify leads based on established criteria and schedule appointments for senior sales team members.

Market Research and Insights:

  • Stay informed about African real estate markets and trends.
  • Gather intelligence on competitor activities and market dynamics.
  • Provide regular reports on market insights and prospecting activities.

Pipeline Management:

  • Track and manage your sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-ups and progression of leads.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth handover of qualified leads.

Client Education:

  • Educate prospects on the African property market and Roots Africa's unique value proposition.
  • Address initial queries and concerns, providing basic information about our services and processes.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified leads and appointments set.
  • Maintain detailed records of all prospecting activities and outcomes.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to share insights and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3 to 6 months of experience in sales, preferably in real estate or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of the African diaspora community and its needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales prospecting tools.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Fluency in English; additional African languages are a plus.
