Essential Duties
- Answer patients call signals to determine patients’ needs.
- Observe patients’ condition and report changes to the professional staff
- Help in bathing Patients and changing linen
- Help with collecting food trays
- Assist in feeding patients who are unable to feed themselves
- Assist in helping patients walk and move in and out of bed
- Provide patient care by supplying and emptying bed pans
- Assist in lifting and transportation of patients to other departments for care when need be using the necessary means
- Assist in turning and repositioning bedridden patients, with assistance, to prevent bedsores
- Communicating effectively with both the patient and the guardian
Education/Experience Requirements
- At least a Certificate in patient Attendance Course
- A diploma will be an added advantage
- A Certificate in First Aid
- 2 years’ experience as a patient attendant.
