About the Role

Antara Health seeks a Graphic Design Intern who is passionate about creating the future of healthcare to join our unique team. As an intern, you will play a support role in creating visually compelling and user-centric design and collateral to support our brand, products, and marketing efforts. The Graphic Design Intern will join the communications department and be expected to work under Antara’s graphic design and digital communications specialists and managers.  

Primary duties and responsibilities

  • Provide graphic design support for collateral creation with a primary focus on supporting Antara's Customer Operation and Sales Departments
  • Learn about Antara’s product, design style, culture, workflow, and key stakeholders
  • Design print, digital, and out-of-home advertising for the company aimed at multiple stakeholders
  • Share creative recommendations and create alternative designs as needed.
  • Support Comms Team by providing copies, cutting and pasting information on styles, collecting data from internal and/or external sources
  • Support the ideation and execution of creative ideas for visual communication
  • Support Comms team with basic copywriting, photo and video editing.
  • Create visual layouts for use on social media and online advertisements
  • Work within the Comms team in collaboration with other Antara Departments as needed, including Corporate Operations, Sales, Product Development & others to understand project scope and objectives
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas
  • Maintain and follow Antara’s naming convention and organization of graphic files
  • Ensure the output is in compliance with Antara’s brand guidelines and design standards
  • Check preliminary and final artworks for errors and make necessary corrections
  • Researches design trends and gives suggestions and support.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.

Working relationships

  • Directly report to Antara’s Digital Communications Manager
  • Be required to work within the Comms Department 

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Graphic Designer
  • Have a strong portfolio of sample projects
  • Have a keen eye for design and aesthetics - Strong sense of color combinations, fonts & layout
  • Experience working in the tech industry is an added advantage

Competencies

Technical competencies 

  • Ability to use design software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign etc.
  • Ability to complete tasks and deliver high quality work within tight timelines
  • Agile at brainstorming, and able to visualise ideas to custom graphics that communicate and resonate with our audiences across digital platforms
  • Strong Copywriting skills
