Fleet Artisan

Key Purpose Statement 

• The Fleet Artisan is responsible for ensuring safe and uninterrupted operation of the vehicle and forklift equipment through repairs on the frame and bodywork of cars and other vehicles. This role reports to Fleet Controller.

Key Duties & Responsibilities    

• Execute planned maintenance activities.
• Perform routine checklist and report all abnormalities to the Fleet Controller.
• Carry out maintenance and repairs as per works order.
• Provide breakdown support.
• Carry out diagnosis to ascertain vehicle defects before setting out to repair.
• Ensure breakdowns are repaired with the minimum productive downtime.
• Constant evaluation done on vehicles/forklifts to detect abnormalities.
• Reduce vehicle breakdowns and downtime through quality work.
• Conduct regular basic awareness to all company vehicle users to ensure proper asset care.

Skills, Experience & Education    

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Nationally qualified as a vehicle mechanic and a panel beat.
• Bodyworks and frame repair skills will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a fleet maintenance workshop.
• Knowledge of car mechanics.
