Role Overview

The overall purpose of the evaluation is to assess and evidence the impact project interventions have had on primary actors and generate learning around effectiveness of programme approaches and the contribution of the volunteering for development pathways to improve future programmes.

Working at project location – In this role, you will provide on-site support in the project location and/or VSO office, (full-time unless otherwise specified) for a set period of time.


Skills, Qualifications And Experience

The lead consultant will possess the following :

  • Strong experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Research, preferably within the area of education; inclusion and child protection and a strong bias with working with children
  • Strong experience in people centred and rights-based programming at policy, strategy as well as implementation level
  • Strong experience in participatory and inclusive assessment/research methodologies and learner centred approaches
  • Good understanding of inclusion and the education sector
  • Broad experience with multi-county/county evaluations
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, communication and report writing skills.
  • At least a Master’s Degree in a relevant field
  • A valid Kenyan Certificate of Good Conduct
