Child Participation and Accountability Technical Lead

The Opportunity

• Plan International is seeking a senior-level, dynamic and motivated Child Participation and Accountability Technical Lead. The Child Participation and Accountability Technical Lead will be responsible for driving a global initiative, in collaboration with the Global Child Protection Area of Responsibility (AoR), to improve child participation and accountability in critical humanitarian responses and strengthen the capacity of child protection coordinators and coordination group members in this area.
• The Technical lead is accountable for leading UN and NGO partners through a process of self-assessment, developing and disseminating global-level technical resources and tools, and capacity strengthening of senior humanitarian actors in order to strengthen child participation and accountability in CPHA responses. The Technical Lead is expected to lead the mobilisation of additional resources to secure funding to continue the global initiative. 
• The post-holder will lead on external positioning of Plan International within the humanitarian coordination system and among UN agencies and donors to influence key stakeholders on child participation and accountability in CPHA.
