Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare variance analysis and cost control reporting and recommendations.
  • Interpret, implement, and monitor organisation policies and procedures,
  • Ensure financials are reported in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and statutory requirements. 
  • Support maintaining adequate product costing systems for valuation and cost estimating activities.
  • Evaluate Plant capital investment requests
  • Support deployment of cost-saving and other programs to provide operating economies and improve profitability.
  • Support Operation initiatives at the plant
  • Ensure a concise review of current and projected operating results.
  • Partner with Plant Management and Plant Controller to advise on a wide range of issues facing the plant. 
  • Proactively assess key assumptions underlying operating plans identify major risks and opportunities and compare to management expectations.
  • Assist in the preparation of Board Pack presentations and Quarterly management review packs.
  • Support timely completion of Business Planning Processes (BPP) by assisting in collecting and compiling input data.

Requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Minimum academic qualification:  Bachelor’s Degree in  Finance or Accounting option or its equivalent
  • Qualifications as an added advantage: CPA (K) or equivalent
  • Professional registration: ICPAK

Experience required:

  • General work experience (years): 8 years
  • Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 3 years
  • Industry: Manufacturing
