Your key responsibilities will include:

Revenue and Brands:

  • Prepare Business Cases for new product launches, brand migrations & geographic expansion plans; 
  • Assist with the monthly revenue forecasting cycle and provide detailed analysis of course of changes vs previous forecasts and previous periods.
  • Perform Post Implementation Reviews of marketing spend/investments against the pre-approved Business Cases to ensure that the spend/investment generated the intended value and was within budget.Preparing also reports and presentations to leadership teams on revenue performance vs forecast and vs previous periods, highlighting key commercial drivers.
  • Prepare brand profitability statements/Aide Mémoire for all markets & products for reference by the Marketing and Finance teams when working out estimated financial impacts of various decisions such as volume, mix and phasing changes.
  • Support with Brand Expenditure forecasting and spend tracking against approved Business Cases, Cycle Plans, and budgets to identify potential opportunities or risks.

Categories growth & profitability:

  • Support in driving growth of ESA’ New Categories business and development/modelling of 5-year financial forecasts.
  • Support with ensuring New Categories marketing spend effectiveness (both OPEX & CAPEX) to generate maximum return on investment.

Audit:

  • Coordinate and facilitate various internal and external audits for Kenya & ESA Revenue as and when they fall due, including internal compliance reviews.
  • Provide relevant information requested by the auditors in timely fashion, address any queries that come up and raise issues that may arise from the audit for quick resolution.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 4 years Finance/Accounting experience in a multinational Finance environment

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Rational decision making, analytical and systematic problem-solving skills with an eye for details is crucial.
  • Ability to work under pressure and keep to tight deadlines.
  • Understanding and awareness of other business functions and their connect with Finance
  • Experience dealing with Management Teams, plus experience in analysis & planning and execution, performance measurements, project evaluation and finance skill.
  • Excellent digital literacy (Excel and Power Point)
  • Business English proficiency

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Professional accountancy qualification (such as ACCA, CPA), a relevant university degree and sound knowledge of accounting principles & interpretation of local tax laws
