Overall Purpose

• The department provides practical legal advice which enables the Society to take informed decisions. The Department is engaged in both advisory and transactional work and also contract review, drafting and negotiation.
• This role works to support the Legal Manager with timely advice on various legal issues ranging from contractual arrangements with Clients, Partners, subcontractors and consultants as well as ensuring compliance with the applicable laws within the jurisdiction of Kenya. Duties and Responsibilities

The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted functionality and usability of all ICRC premises related facilities, tools, equipment, machine, appliances and resources at any given time.

Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities

• Ensure that office structures and residences are well maintained;
• Manage the maintenance workshop, facilities and control productivity;
• Prepare, read interpret designs, drawings, and bills of quantities and work progress schedules for all civil works as necessary;
• Propose and implement economic and efficient way of maintenance;
• Establish, maintain and ensure adequate security systems for workshop facilities to prevent theft, pilferage and damage to staff, property & equipment;

What we will look for in your profile

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop strategies that ensure KRCS is well positioned and coordinated as a strategic partner to the county government in service delivery in line with the identified priorities.
• Serve as secretary to the County governance committee.
• Develop strategic alliances to strengthen collaborative partnerships and networks with relevant County government agencies, NGO’s and other stakeholders in order to advocate, represent, and influence policies for humanitarian relief

Overall Purpose

• The purpose of the Regional Finance and Administration Officer – Kenya and Regional Office is to support the management of a strong internal control environment, including segregation of duties, and the application of finance and administrative policies, processes, and procedures.
• Responsible for the accounting and administrative functions of the regional and country programmes in line with Norwegian Red Cross rules and procedures including Kenya and Regional Office.

Duties and Responsibilities
Budgeting

• Support in the preparation, revision and reallocation of the RO, CO and NS programme and project budgets consistent with plans.
• Support in ensuring that budgets are re-prioritised bi-annually in line with available funding.
• Supporting in preparation of NORAD and MFA budget templates
• Updating budgets on the FP&A system.
• Posting of monthly NFO split for RO and CO.

Accounting 

• Responsible for obtaining required supporting documents, verification with approved budget and authorisation signature by the relevant personnel.
• Prepare cash payment voucher and disburse cash for working advance & per diem to the requesting staff member after the approval of budget holder and Regional Finance Manager.

• Implement standardised filing and archiving system for the Region and/ at Country Office (CO) levels while promoting adherence to the same among programme departments.
• Ensure monthly running of balance sheet items and share reconciling items with respective office RO and CO for corrections.

Reporting

• Preparation of the monthly and annual reconciliation of the balance sheet items cash, bank, accruals and cash advances and IRCA and working advances

Compliance and audit

• Support in the preparation of the audit working papers in line with audit engagement instructions from the external auditor.

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in finance/accounting/business administration/economics or similar qualification.
