Responsibilities:

Technical Operations/Directing

Qualifications:

Reporting to the Senior Multimedia Editor, the Multimedia Editor will be responsible undertaking camera operations, photography, video editing, and ingest operations, ensuring the production of high-quality content for broadcast and digital platforms. The Multimedia Editor is responsible for capturing, editing, and organizing media files while adhering to production standards and deadlines.
Responsibilities:

Camera Operations and Photography

• Capture high-quality video footage for television, digital platforms, and other production requirements.
• Undertake professional photography assignments and edit still images to meet client and project needs.
• Set up and operate camera and lighting equipment, ensuring proper framing, exposure, and audio quality.

Video Editing

• Edit video footage to create engaging and visually appealing content for various platforms.
• Integrate graphics, sound, and special effects to enhance the final product.
• Ensure timely delivery of edited materials, adhering to project schedules.

Ingest Operations

• Ingest, transcode, and archive media content, maintaining an organized catalog for easy retrieval.

Content Preparation and Delivery

Reporting to the Commercial Producer, the Assistant Commercial Producer will be responsible for managing and executing commercial productions, ensuring smooth workflows, resource coordination, and high-quality deliverables. The Assistant Commercial Producer contributes to client engagement, production planning, and post-production oversight to maintain standards and meet client expectations.
Responsibilities:

Client Engagement Support

• Assist in preparing proposals and pitches for prospective clients.

Production Planning and Coordination

• The Regional Legal Counsel is in charge of providing substantive advice and ad hoc support to the various internal clients and delegations in the AFRICA region, as well as coordinating corporate legal activities, building up and ensuring an efficient service delivery, by providing support and raising awareness to the region and delegations.

Accountabilities & Functional responsibilities

• Provides legal advice and support in all areas impacting the ICRC (HR, logistics, procurement, administration, operations, data protection, governance, fundraising, innovation, intellectual property,  privileges and immunities, regulatory issues, etc.), with a specific focus on HR/employment/contractual matters and any corporate legal issue;
• Drafts, reviews and negotiates contracts for the ICRC in all areas needed, and drafts legal opinions;

Professional Experience required

• Advanced university degree in law (Master of Arts Degree minimum, Master of Law would be an asset);
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of overall professional experience;
• Minimum five (5) years as a corporate legal adviser required, in particular with HR/employment related practice or contractual practice;
• Solid experience in contract law, employment law, business law, the law of international civil service or equivalent experience in applicable administrative law required;
• Solid experience either in-house or in a law firm on corporate legal matters with a multinational dimension required;
• Field experience handling legal issues, a strong asset;
• Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate is a strong asset;
• Experience in the legal sector with International Organization/NGO entities a strong asset

Job Description:

The International Centre for Humanitarian Affairs, think tank of the KRCS, is seeking a dynamic professional in the sector of Entrepreneurship, to implement the Social Entrepreneurship Program, under the Innovation centre, I.O.Me254. In 2023, the Women Social Entrepreneurship Program was launched with the French Red Cross, and supported by the Embassy of France in Kenya, co-implemented by a consultant from France for a one year period. The cohort has now completed their incubation, and received their seed funding.
Similarly, the ideal candidate should have a strong background in social relationship management, local contexts, financial literacy, business management, and coordination. This role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks and projects to promote the program and enhance our role in social entrepreneurship.

Objectives of the Women Social Entrepreneurship Institute

• To support women leadership and social entrepreneurship approaches for local youth communities
• To grow a diversified social economy, focusing on building internal capacity and local markets
• To foster a locally led innovation ecosystem for the creation and implementation of solutions that respond to local needs
• Encourage entrepreneurship in the Kenya's second largest city and fight youth unemployment

Key Responsibilities:

Social Entrepreneurship Institute Program design

• Building upon the first edition, co-design of the new curriculum of the WSEI together with the French Red Cross and Kenyan Red Cross Innovation teams
• Coordinate the different trainings and recruit the local trainers when needed

Social Entrepreneurship Institute Program Management

• Implement and manage the Social Entrepreneurship institute program under the I.O.Me254 innovation centre of the KRCS on a daily basis
• Manage the local team and be point of contact with different KRCS stakeholders (Mombasa branch, headquarters,  I.O.Me team) as well as with the French Red Cross Innovation team and the International Chamber of Commerce
• Manage stakeholders, partners and international donors under entrepreneurship at I.O.Me254 (includes reporting)
• Support Monitoring and evaluation process of the programs, including impact assessments
• Document all program activities, and support resource mobilization efforts

Program Implementation

• Support the Social Entrepreneurship Institute beneficiaries on a day-to-day basis (guidance, coaching, mentorship) to develop and support women-led enterprises
• Coordinate  the community of trainers and mentors

Communication and Networking for the Program

• Attend networking events and  build partnerships with the local ecosystem of entrepreneurship
• Identify and link the KRCS and I.O.Me254 to opportunities in the sector of Social Entrepreneurship

Qualifications:

• A solid experience (2-3 y minimum) in the humanitarian sector, ideally in Kenya or East Africa
• Graduate or post-graduate degree in relevant field
• Excellent knowledge of social entrepreneurship methodologies
• Strong knowledge in donors and project cycle management
• Excellent/native speaker in English and Swahili (French is welcome but not essential)
