Responsibilities:

• Addition and update of products into the system
• Collaborates with the Legal and Compliance Officer and Insurance product specialist on product and regulation compliance
• Providing data-backed and actionable updates to leadership to improve order fulfilment SLAs
• Effective claims processing
• Define process after valuation to adjustment the premiums
• Track metrics such as issuance times, error rates to improve the process
• Provide / Offer training for CX , OS and more primarily agents to improve stakeholder relations and offer long time value
• Timely and Accurate Declarations to Underwriters-Motor
• Ensure  up to date and Sufficient stocks for Inventory

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional qualification in Insurance or demonstrate significant progress towards its attainment.
• Relevant experience working in the insurance industry in claims,underwriting or a similar role.
• Sound knowledge of insurance, regulatory requirements and processes.
•  Strong attention to detail to ensure the accurate collection of information and entry into databases.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Research and source potential clients and build long-term relationships with them while selling insurance products.
• Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients
• Sales of insurance products to meet the set targets from time to time. 
• Persuade prospective clients to engage in a phone conversation and/or meeting to discuss insurance products
• Advise clients on the insurance policies that best suit their needs
• Deliver approved policies to new clients and explain benefits and risks of the policy
• Re-assess the policy needs of existing clients after life-changing events
• Fill-out and submit applications, issue quotes, maintain client records and prepare reports
• Keep abreast of industry and market trends and best practices
• Participate in sales meetings and offer valuable ideas contributing towards the growth of business.
• Escalate any unresolved queries or queries not resolved in a timely manner to the Sales Leadership

Responsibilities:

• Plan, strategize and organize daily activities such as: (calls, contacts, quotes, application generation, and pending applications) to achieve individual and department goals.
• Consistently maintain a healthy pipeline by qualifying outbound leads.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to potential clients through proactive measures to seek, identify, and provide information to enable each client to find policies tailored to their financial needs, priorities, and circumstances.
• Support with onboarding of the clients to the platform by generating quotes, supporting the process of filling/submitting applications, and converting underwriting policies into closed products.
• Keep the CRM current and accurate with the target customer, current customer, and future customers. This will be through managing the sales cycle, incorporating Lami's sales methodology on active opportunities and client meetings, and ensuring all key client relationships are properly recorded. You will also use this data to facilitate weekly reporting to your supervisors.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in the insurance and tech industry by continuously iterating on and improving upon sales processes and customer requirements.

• Must have a solid B2B sales experience in insurance Sales.
• Must have a proven track record of meeting monthly goals for new business sales.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree.

The Graduate Trainee ( GT) programme plays a critical role in ensuring there is a pipeline of young professionals with the skills required to plug in to the Lami’s strategic agenda within the operating markets. The programme is targeting young and energetic professionals willing to work in a fast paced, dynamic and agile environment.

Programme Outline

• GTs are taken through Basic Insurance and Core Lami System training in the initial stages of their programme.
• 12 Month Business unit placement in order to provide the GTs with a sound grounding in insurance and a broad understanding of key business processes.
• The programme design is aimed to create stretch assignments in departments during the training phase to challenge the GTs to make tangible contributions and develop key competencies in each area.
• An intensive 1 month long understudy programme for all GT’s under a dedicated Line Manager to give first hand customer management experience.
• GTs will spend time in highly specialized departments such as Consumer Business, Projects, Corporate Business, Finance, Tech etc. to deepen their skills and competencies within the agile and digital work environment.
• GTs will receive structured and targeted leadership development offered online or through workshops and coaching programmes.
• Only the successful GTs will be appointed in substantive positions at the end of the programme and should they demonstrate exceptional performance, they will be placed in the Lami’s full-time team which offers them further momentum to grow their careers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

As our senior backend developer you'll work with company leadership, the engineering team, product management, and design to ensure the highest standards are met regarding the delivery of our products. We’re a start-up so rely on senior members of the team to be self-reliant, suggest/implement updates on process, and be involved in planning/implementing stack and infrastructure upgrades. Ability and willingness to mentor junior developers is also a plus.
