Trade Marketing Manager

The Trade Marketing Manager will be responsible for supporting retailers in their marketing strategy including communication development, designing marketing materials and creating brand awareness. Essentially, the role will drive growth in sales through achieving excellent in store execution and winning in trade.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and cascade the Trade Marketing strategy for General and Modern Trade
• Driving promotions and activations and understanding and carrying out a pre and post evaluation to measure ROI
• Design, execute and perform programs to enhance store and trade presence and off-take
• Drive 100% On Shelf availability in all outlets
• Development of the planograms and the MUST have SKUs for the different outlet types
• Develop a training and team development plan for the field team and shelf stockers
• Drive excellence on Distribution, Display, Promotion and Price
• Ensure right representation and increase success rates of promotions and brand perception
• Execute outstanding product launches, placements and activations when required
• Training the sales team as and when required to ensure effective collaboration and implementation of the trade strategy
• Propose, prepare and execute initiatives to enhance profitability

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in a business-related field
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
• At least 3 years’ experience in a Trade Marketing related role
• Strong understanding of the consumer and a record of excellent execution
• Strong analytical skills for effective analysis and budget planning
• Strong marketing affinity & background to ensure the Trade Marketing strategy is driven by marketing insights
• Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
