Standard Investment Bank (SIB) is a leading financial services firm in Kenya founded in 1995. The firm offers individual and institutional clients a single point of entry for Asset Management, Securities Trading, Market Research, Investment Management and Corporate Finance. SIB is regulated as an Investment Bank (2003) and an Online Forex Trading Money Manager (2018) by the Capital Markets Authority.

To manage its progressive growth, SIB’s HR Department is looking to recruit a HR Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the below duties and responsibilities:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Coordinate HR surveys (e.g motivation, satisfaction, remuneration) and provide recommendations on how to improve work environment.
  • Custodian of employee files: create and update employee files and databases.
  • Support Departmental Managers to optimize utilization of SIB’s human capital.
  • Distribute HR related company communication and interaction (e.g employee updates, town hall meetings)
  • Maintain SIB’s reward and recognition management policy, strategies and processes.
  • Monitor and report on employee reaction and feedback to Executive Committee, Managing Director and the Board.
  • Ensure SIB’s compliance implementation with HR statutory requirements.
  • Process documentation with HR service providers e.g health insurance, pension.
  • Provide feedback and interpretation to employees on HR Policies and Processes.
  • Coordinate and represent HR & A in health and safety initiatives across SIB.
  • Facilitate the procurement and management of office supplies.
  • Any other duties assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • A diploma in Human Resource Management or a CHRP-K.
  • A minimum HR work experience of two years in reputable organizations.
  • Dependable knowledge and exposure to the Employment Laws.
  • Computer literacy with knowledge of HRM systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An organized, detail-oriented and time conscious person.
  • A patient and approachable person who enjoys working with people.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to staff matters.
