The Opportunity 

  • As a Business Development Representative, you will be building relationships with potential corporate clients through active sales engagement, lead generation and market research to promote our intelligence and platform services. You will learn about our solutions and be able to understand and present our value proposition to potential clients within all target markets. You will be able to see and measure the growth you will be taking part in achieving.

What we trust you to do

  • Responsible for showcasing our data & intelligence & growth solution services to a wide global audience and acquiring various types of clients from SMB to Enterprise level.
  • Collect market information through extensive research, cross-referencing, and analysis.
  • Identify and prioritise target accounts and industries based on research findings.
  • Diligently engage potential clients via a variety of inbound and outbound sources such as email, phone, social media, or in-person interactions to cultivate interest and schedule appointments.
  • Work with Enterprise Account Executives and build a pipeline of new business.
  • Arrange product demonstration meetings between potential clients and Enterprise Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
  • Collect and report customer feedback to enhance the service quality of the platform and ensure customer satisfaction.

What you need to succeed

  • 2-5 years of business development or sales development in global B2B products. An emphasis on hunting for new deals and can be creative in finding them. 
  • Goal orientated and metric driven.
  • Experience with CRM systems is necessary (Salesforce, HubSpot, Monday, SAP).
  • Previous experience in sales or marketing, especially in roles that involved generating leads, cold calling, and email marketing.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google applications such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Possess strong organisational skills, deadline oriented and attention to detail.
  • Proven success in a new sales development or lead generation role.
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and push yourself to achieve more.
  • An ability to respond with a sense of urgency in support of the team’s objectives.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, team collaboration, organisational and time management skills.
  • Established Portfolio of connections within the agribusiness industry.
  • Experience working with consulting firms/food production companies/banking and finance institutions.

Great to Haves

Had experience selling a data related product or service.

  • Has worked with global businesses and/or sold to supply chain leaders or sales leaders.
  • Experienced with selling products or services with deal sizes greater than $30,000 USD.
