Job Description & Summary

A career in Office of General Counsel, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the Firm’s legal department by providing dedicated legal support in the areas of litigation, counselling, and corporate, commercial, and employment law. You’ll play an important part in all aspects of regulatory proceedings involving the Firm and its personnel by supporting on regulatory issues, advising the Firm on matters relating to its operations, supporting the Firm’s client contracting function, and advising on matters related to employees.

As an Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. The role of this team is to negotiate and provide legal advice and support to the business when contracting with clients, external parties and service providers.When clients want to engage PwC for the performance of services in multiple territories across the PwC network, our contracting team assists with responding to our clients’ (and our own) contracting needs, making it easier to do business with the firm.PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to reviewing, revising, negotiating and advising on requests for proposals, non-standard client agreements for the Assurance, Advisory and Tax Lines of Service, master services agreements, engagement letters, subcontracts, nondisclosure agreements and other types of agreements consistent with the firm’s risk management standards while also considering applicable legal, regulatory and professional standards, often on a time sensitive basis. The individual should have:

  • Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders and drive consensus
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and in a team.
  • Highly motivated

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws Degree
  • Completion of Advocates Training Program
  • 1 year of experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts.
