JOB PURPOSE:

• The jobholder is responsible for controlling and reducing the cost of motor vehicle repairs while maintaining high quality work, managing claims service provider relationships to ensure TAT & SLAs are met in accordance with the Company's Claims guidelines.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensure all motor accidents are assessed within the stipulated timelines. Ensure repair estimates are at reasonable cost and during the repair works monitor to ensure work done is as per company high standard to client's satisfaction.
• To scrutinize all assessment reports submitted by the assessors and recommend the next cause of action.
• To negotiate with the repairers for discounts aimed at lowering overall repair costs.
• Undertaking re-inspection of all motor vehicles after repairs are concluded by the garages to ensure quality standards are achieved per the Company guidelines.
• Recommend investigation of claim cases that present high-risk exposure to the Company.
• Undertake a thorough evaluation and calculation of pre-accident/pre-theft value of motor vehicles to ascertain accuracy of values to curb cost escalation
• Monitor and review costs incurred in motor claims regarding towing and windscreen reinstatements
• To monitor and ensure all assessors and investigators conduct themselves professionally and ethically and make recommendations where action is warranted.
• To carry out random checks on garages to ensure that they maintain professionalism, Integrity and meet the standards of our customers, make recommendations where action is warranted.
• To guide and advise on the best prices for disposing of the salvages during auction.
• Training all staff on technical matters involving motor claims management. Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (Qualifications)
Minimum Academic Qualifications:

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

• Three (3) years' relevant working experience preferably as a prior motor assessor.

Professional Qualifications:

• COP in insurance (not mandatory)
• Knowledge of a broad range of insurance products.

JOB PURPOSE:

To support the business by providing strategic and tactical leadership to Management on all legal matters. Undertake the execution of the legal section key mandate and effectively supervise the legal section team. Preparation of informative legal claims statistical reports to inform decision-making. Review of legal provisions on various company contracts.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategy:

• Responsible for articulating legal strategy and executing on actions aimed at safeguarding company's interests.
• Coordinate the recruitment of competent legal providers, monitor service delivery, and undertake performance management.
• Support risk management initiatives through planning, scenario analysis and stakeholder engagement to ensure appropriate mitigation actions are taken against reputational damages and financial costs.

Litigation Management:

• Managing litigation and legal claims by monitoring the progress of the matters with external lawyers and maintaining a database of the same. • Reduce overall legal costs by containing majority of the matters in house through out of court negotiations.
• Attend to complex court matters to represent and or be a witness for the company and prepare case summaries for settlement approvals.
• Pursue subrogation recoveries for the Company

Legal Advisory Role:

• Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure they are following all statutory or legal requirements.
• Periodic audit of insurance policy contracts for compliance with changes in statutes law and judicial jurisprudence.
• Conducting legal research on any pertinent legal issues and preparing legal opinions to both external and internal client
• Provide legal advice on policy development, advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedure.

Legal Claims Management:

• Renegotiate advocates fees in line with the Advocates Remuneration Order.
• Renegotiate Auctioneers fees in line with the provisions of the Auctioneers Act and Rules
• Analyse claims and assess injuries to claimants to determine the ones qualified for second medical to the panel of doctors.
• Analyse claims based on evidence adduced and contents of investigations report and recommend the ones suitable for out of court negotiations and settlements.
• Carry out thorough investigation in detecting fraud matters from claimants, which are not genuine to reduce company exposure to fraudsters.
• Periodical review of legal files to ensure accurate reserves are maintained and to ensure the files are up to date.
• Any other duty assigned from time to time

Reporting:

• Preparation of weekly case commentary highlighting expected outcomes and risks for Management's consumption.
• Preparation of monthly and quarterly legal reports for onward use by Management.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (Qualifications)

• Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) from a recognized institution.
• Diploma from Kenya School of Law /Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
• Certification in Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution from

JOB PURPOSE:

The Jobholder is primarily responsible for growth of the Banc assurance insurance book by bringing in new business and sustaining existing business in line with the company’s strategic plans. The Jobholder will also be required to grow business along some key relationships in the Broker channel as will be guided by the line manager.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Grow the Banc assurance insurance book by bringing in new business as per the set targets.
• Collect market intelligence in regards to insurance products and relay the same to the relevant parties.
• Create a working relationship with the key contacts in the banks and grow business to meet the set targets through establishing and initiating more schemes with new banks.
• Organize training in insurance products for the staff of the banks.
• Suggest new/emerging products/marketing channels for products/service distribution.
• Obtain the correct and full details of the risk for quotation purposes and apply suitable rates.
• Submit quotation for approval/signing to Supervisor/Asst. Manager or Manager and delivered on time.
• Ensure all necessary documentation (Proposal/endorsements) required by banks are availed on time.
• Ensure renewal notices for various schemes are given on time and followed.
• Have a rapport with some key brokers and assist in getting new business from the broker relationships.
• Any other duty assigned from time to time by the Line Manager.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE (Qualifications)

Minimum Academic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce/business

Professional Qualifications:

• Diploma in Insurance (AIIK or ACII) or progress towards the same.
• Knowledge of a broad range of Insurance products

Experience:

• 3 years’ experience in sales, preferably in Bancassurance/Broker Channels
