About the Role

Core Responsibilities

Role Profile

Manage the frontline fulfilment process in the market as part of delivering its overall operational objectives. You will be responsible for the day-to-day warehousing and dispatch operations for the market to ensure the company's targets and objectives on inventory and order fulfilment processes are met. Guarantee operational processes and standards are followed and oversee all housekeeping standards while driving continuous improvement at the market level.

Key Duties and Responsibilities 

• Inbound outbound Management: Responsible for both inbound and outbound operations of the market. Assure on-time in full deliveries as the set company targets and assure the defined warehousing and dispatch costs are maintained per set targets. Ensure customer orders are fulfilled in a timely, precise manner including management of customer returns per the agreed standards.
• Inventory Management: Deliver 100% Inventory Accuracy while working with the defined stakeholders to minimize stock-outs and damages while driving proper stock handling to minimize losses in damages.
• Operational Excellence: Lead identification and closure of Continuous Improvement Initiatives within the framework of Lean Principles within the warehouse. Execute all operations activities such as stock taking, physical inventory count, inventory accuracy in allocation, consumption levels and order fulfilment. Actively engage in route planning and delivery schedules to ensure all deliveries and completed within the allocated delivery windows.
• People Management:Coach and manage associates (from third-party providers) to deliver shared objectives. Ensure the completion of daily tasks and responsibilities; resolve issues preventing the completion of tasks. Minimum Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management (warehousing & dispatch) in a busy-paced environment with at least 2 years experience in a Supervisory role;
• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma with at least 3 years demonstrated progressive career growth in Supply Chain or related field

Role Profile:

Kyosk is looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to work in the Quality Assurance (QA) team to help in the testing of the solutions developed by the software engineers on the leading edge of innovation in Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of test automation with the goal of achieving at least 95% test automation coverage. 

As an SDET you will join the other Product and Technology professionals who share a passion for leveraging technology to empower informal retailers across the African continent. You’ll work with teams from multiple countries across the organization to create innovative solutions for Kyosk’s customers and internal teams.

To be successful in this role you will need to be analytical, have high attention to detail, be able to carry out multiple tasks in tandem, support other team members when needed and still be able to deliver despite distractions. 

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation: Create and maintain a comprehensive set of automated tests at all levels by referring to the technical and product documentation. Configure these automated tests to execute reliability and efficiently in CI/CD environments. Contribute to the following types of automated tests : performance, API and E2E tests using tools such as Playwright, Gatling, Postman. Recognise and automate the routine tasks which can reduce the time for regression testing. Track and communicate test results in a timely, effective, and automated manner.
• Manual Testing: Assist with Manual Testing whenever required. Ensure thorough manual testing is done when tickets are assigned to the QA individual, thus increasing confidence in the releases. Ensure the manual test case suite is up to date and also create manual test cases in JIRA, for all new feature releases. 
• Test Coverage: Work towards attaining a minimum 90% test coverage on the service assigned to you. Automated tests should consider both positive and negative test cases, which will make code releases a faster and automated process thus reducing the time for manual automation, and allowing teams to do more exploratory testing. Be aware of new functionalities being added to your respective service and plan to add test cases consecutively. Actively work towards decreasing the testing time.
• Test Stability: Own the test pipeline triage and ensure pipeline failures are triaged promptly. This will ensure developers are not blocked on code merge. Carry out performance tests regularly to identify the systems’ breaking point. Communicate this information to the correct team members promoting a proactive behaviour to problem solution.
• Release Management: Be aware of items being released into production and identify gaps in the automated tests and plan for manual testing by communicating the same to manual test team members. 
• Domain Knowledge: Take time to deeply understand the Kyosk architecture by reading the technical and product documentation. This will allow you to quickly identify areas in which the issue has occurred which will reduce the turnaround time for the bug resolution.
• Team Collaboration: Interact closely with other cross functional teams towards the delivery of engineering goals. Be able to identify the effect of code change, and communicate the same to other dependent teams promoting proactive communication.
• Process Adherence: Adhere to agile processes identified by Kyosk. You are encouraged to find better ways of performing the day to day tasks, getting buy-in from team members and eventually updating the Kyosk Engineering SOP’s.

Minimum Requirements & Key Skills:

• 2+ years of writing automated tests by referencing technical and product documentation and have working experience with testing and deployment of software to real production environments;
• You have working experience of a test automation tool and have added the respective tests to a CI/CD pipeline
• Experience working with Agile methodologies, Scrum and demonstrated experience in working in end-to-end software development lifecycles.
• Proficiency with tools of the product and engineering trade such as JIRA, GIT, a CI/CD tool ex GCP, SQL etc.

• Strategic execution: Lead the creation and implementation of best practice warehouse vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Cascade the warehouse strategy to the warehouse teams and ensure adoption. Directs the creation of warehouse SOP including best practice adoption and oversees its implementation and adoption in the business.
• Strategic delivery: Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Interpret trends, analyses, and review data to provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service, and cost improvements and advise business decisions.
• Operational Delivery: Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements. Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs and advise the business on how the same can be improved based on best practices. Keep track of slow-moving and obsolete stock and advise the management on the best way forward for these goods.
• Operational Efficiency: Guarantee all warehouses operate at peak efficiency ensuring little to no stock loss to damages and expiries whilst fulfilling operational and customer demand. Review the value stream mapping for all the warehouse processes to weed out non-value-adding processes and strengthen existing processes. Develop and implement initiatives to achieve business results, and drive continuous Improvement/ Process mapping to realize operational efficiency.
• Order processing management: Supervise order processing processes in the warehouses ensuring that the processes are done in accordance with the laid down processes and procedures. Ensure that the teams follow the SOPs to the letter when processing orders including adherence to FIFO and FEFO.
• 3rd Party Service Provider management: Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers engaged by the company. Lead the management of these 3PL providers including acting as the point of contact to ensure proper service delivery and timely fulfillment of customer deliveries. Monitor service delivery of these providers against the agreed performance criteria and ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Formulate and ensure adherence to inventory management policy in line with the business policies and strategy. Lead the formulation of warehouse management operational SOPs for the business and ensure compliance. Create and implement best practice warehousing principles, policies, and processes.
• Fleet Management: Coordinate with 3PL providers and Dispatch Supervisors to ensure proper maintenance of the fleet, ensure efficient utilization of available vehicles and any other transport resources; monitor associated running costs, ensuring they are maintained within a reasonable range at all times. Oversee vehicle insurance policies are renewed, any accidents are reported and claims are processed on time and efficiently. Direct the development and implementation of fleet administration standards and vehicle operating policies.
• Performance Management: Establishes and monitors overall warehouse performance to drive the achievement of established objectives, goals, and standards. Drive a high-performance culture within the team by conducting frequent one on one meetings, monthly performance appraisals, and employee engagement to ensure delivery of the Warehousing targets.

Performance measurement

• Production and reconciliation of key month end reports regarding Volumes, Revenues, Profit, Variance Analysis and P&L by region, by warehouse, by category, by product, by sku, by sales agent, by number of kiosks etc.
• Provision of reliable figures and in-depth knowledge of the relevant business metrics. Analysis ranges from top-level review to detailed research
• Prepare ad hoc reports to analyse any variances against targets e.g., volume and mix analysis

Role Profile

We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Supervisor who can continue building Kyosk’s Business Intelligence unit, use various statistical and advanced analytics methods to define BI solutions and can critically think about data and identify process improvement points from the data and dashboard on an ongoing basis to support business. You will be the driver of business improvement, unearthing challenges from the data and using smart analytics to predict market and customer movements. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising and advising on data infrastructure: Working together with the Technology (data infrastructure) and Product team (data analysts) to support them on the BI needs and the corresponding data infrastructure requirements. In conjunction with the Head of Strategy and Data to oversee the development of business dashboards across the business. Identifying new metrics and data to measure to provide the business with a comprehensive view of the markets we operate in. • Project management: Drive the execution of BI projects such as launching new tools, dashboards and specific data analytics projects. Monitor the quality and completeness of data to document project performance, ensure data within the project for evidence-based decision making, and solve data problems when they arise 
• Continuous improvement and growth: Continuously looking for BI opportunities regarding the introduction of advanced analytics and machine learning algorithms. Develop and maintain the management Dashboards and Scorecards to guide performance improvement
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs, and formulate & complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables, and presentations. 
• Business unit building: Recruiting and training necessary personnel for the BI unit; Lead, inspire and manage a talented Business Intelligence team to achieve the department's goals and development potential. Hold frequent one-on-one sessions with the team and conduct monthly performance appraisals to guarantee an engaged, motivated and delivering team.

Minimum Requirements & Key Skills:

• Master's degree in business administration, computer sciences, mathematics, data analytics or another closely related field OR a bachelor's degree in the above fields with additional certifications in data sciences
• A minimum of 3 years of previous related experience with significant exposure to business intelligence and project management with at least 1 year of senior management experience in business intelligence, data analytics, strategic planning or management consulting (e.g. MBB, Big4 or similar);
• Advanced user of Google BigQuery and Looker Studio
• In-depth demonstrable understanding of a business across the different functions (prior cross-functional exposure);
• Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
• Demonstrated ability to influence others, create alignment, generate a commitment to goals and inspire others to action;
• Experience leading complex and multi-stakeholder business projects;

Role Profile

We are looking to bring on board an ambitious and commercially aware candidate as a Business Manager. The individual will be tasked with the end-to-end management of a specific warehouse and market as a single business unit. He/she will be responsible for the execution of the organization’s strategy in the market including accountability of the P&L, budget, market and business performance, operations and people management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business Unit Performance: Responsible for P&L management for the warehouse and market while driving profit maximization for the business unit. Oversee the business unit performance management and ensure the attainment of all organizational KPIs for the unit. Account for any performance decline and devise ways to improve the same.
• Revenue Generation: Work collaboratively with the commercial and purchasing teams to spearhead revenue generation in the market including advisory on product pricing to generate business margins. Liaise with the sales team to drive product penetration and uptake in the market including the formulation of effective sales and marketing strategies.
• Strategy Execution: Communication of the business strategy in the market and ensure execution against the set KPIs as per the strategy. Ensure the team understands and buys into the strategy. Support the development of the pricing strategy and product pricing based on market understanding, competitor analysis and customer feedback.
• Operations Optimization: Oversee end to end operations of Warehouse Management and Dispatch all logistics of last mile delivery to Customers as per set SOPs. Proactively support the development and review of SOPs based on the gaps identified to maximize operations effectiveness.
• Inventory Management: Work closely with the Fulfillment Supervisor to facilitate proper inventory management, stock control and loss prevention. Collaboratively formulate and implement measures to safeguard the inventory in the warehouse.
• Compliance: Drive compliance to the laid down SOPs for the warehouse, operations and HR whilst ensuring proper team training and appreciation. Ensure legislative and regulatory compliance of the business unit including Health and safety compliance of the business unit. Undertake frequent operations audits to evaluate the level of compliance, operational gaps and hindrances for immediate action.
• Budget Management: Develop and present the annual budget for the specific business unit; Monitor and oversee its utilization including budget control, accounting as well as reconciliation.
• Market Intelligence & Business Advisory: Oversee frequent market surveys and analysis to identify opportunities the business can capitalize on, understand competitor activities and appreciate customer dynamics. Escalate customer feedback to the management to ensure course correction where necessary.
• People Management: Support staff recruiting for the business unit, training, supervision and appraising of staff. Work closely with the HR team to execute key HR functions in the unit including policy implementation, performance management, disciplinary, evaluations and training.

Minimum Requirements & Key Skills:

• A Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field;
• A minimum of 6 years in operations management and driving business performance in a retail or FMCG background;
• P&L management background;
• Experience setting up and growing markets as well as driving numbers is preferred;
• Experience handling end-to-end operations cutting across warehousing, logistics, sales and business performance management is preferred;
• Appreciation of the business environment, key priorities and a keen sense of what needs to be done for the business to succeed;
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams with indirect reporting lines to drive the execution and achievement of business objectives and strategy.
