Duties and Responsibilities

• Mobilizing, sensitizing and advising communities on matters related to environmental health;
• Referring health cases to relevant health facilities;
• Carrying out immunization;
• Identifying environmental health issues at community level;
• Organizing community health days to advise communities on common public health issues;
• Collecting and maintaining up to date records of services rendered;
• Assessing health needs of the community;
• Implementing vector, vermin and rodent control measures;
• Implementing integrated mosquito control strategies.

Requirements for appointment

• Diploma in either Environmental Health Science or Public Health Inspection from a recognized institution; and
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose common oral conditions, treat, prescribe and refer;
• Carry out minor oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthetic, and conservative dentistry;
• Facilitate admission, disease investigations of patients, report writing and assisting in theatre activities;
• Collect information on dental health information system;
• Organize discharge summaries and follow-up of patients and acting as the first on call;
• Identify commonly occurring medical emergencies and undertakes the first line management of the emergency, using appropriate techniques, equipment and drugs;
• Ensure compliance with hospital and national clinical policies relevant to the safe practice of dentistry.

Requirements for Appointment

• Bachelor of Dental Surgery (DS) degree or any other, equivalent qualification from an institution recognized by Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
• Successfully completed one (1) year Internship from a recognized institution;
• Possess a valid practicing certificate from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
• Membership registration certificate from Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board; and
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving and recording patient work and interpreting patient prescription;
• Disinfecting impressions, prostheses and appliances;
• Assessing and casting impressions;
• Implementing dental laboratory standard operating procedures;
• Assigning and fabricating acrylic complete/partial dentures, simple orthodontic appliances and repairs;
• Participating in oral/dental health promotion; and
• Collecting and compiling dental reports.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

• Diploma in Dental Technology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Valid practicing licence from Kenya Dental Technologists Association
• Certificate of registration from Kenya Dental Technologists Association; and
• Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinating social welfare activities in the county;
• Liaise with National Government organization regarding donations and formulation of social welfare policy;
• Taking statistics on matters pertaining to social welfare services; and
• Mobilizing staff on awareness of social welfare services.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C or its equivalent qualification; and
• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Anthropology, Counselling or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Compiling statistical records;
• Sorting, filing and dispatching letters;
• Maintaining an efficient filing system;
• Processing appointments, promotions, discipline, transfers and other related duties in human resource management;
• Computation of financial or statistical records based on routine or special sources of information;
• Preparing payment vouchers; and
• Compiling data and drafting simple letters.

Requirements for Appointment

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (minus) or its approved equivalent; and
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Participating in identification and registration of cultural practitioners;
• Encouraging formation of association and committees by cultural practitioners;
• Promoting Kiswahili and indigenous languages;
• Disseminating cultural information to the community; and
• Participating in cultural development activities and preparing periodic reports.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Cultural Studies, Anthropology, Sociology, History, Philosophy, Archeology, Creative Arts, Theatre Arts, Music, Fine Arts, Kiswahili and Literacy Studies, Political Science, Psychology, indigenous languages or it’s equivalent from a recognized institution; and
• Certificate in computer application.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning of Office accommodation and layout;
• Facilitating transport and travelling services;
• Maintaining and updating furniture and office equipment inventory;
• Ensuring payment of utilities bills;
• Facilitating movement of assets;
• Facilitating general maintenance of buildings and furniture;
• Facilitating logistics for meetings, conferences and other special events;
• Collecting and collating data on developmental activities; and
• Providing input in organizing public participation awareness.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• Diploma in any of the following disciplines; Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution; and
• Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.

• Preparation of materials for binding;
• Shelf arrangement;
• Provision of reference services to readers;
• Filing of catalogue cards and press cuttings; and
• Charging and discharging Library materials.

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean Grade C or its equivalent qualification with at least a C in either Mathematics, English or Kiswahili;
• A Diploma in Library Studies or Information Science or their recognized equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; and
• Certificate in computer applications

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining schemes of work, lesson plans, lesson notes, trainee records, teaching and learning materials;
• Carrying out trainee assessment, ensuring proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment;
• Conducting co-curricular activities;
• Maintaining trainees’ disciplines; and
• Guiding and counseling trainees.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering; Automotive Engineering; Instrumentation and Control Engineering; Industrial/Construction Plant Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
• Certificate in Computer Applications.
