BURN is looking for a Regional Tax Policy and Advocacy Lead who will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Affairs team’s execution of tax, duties and compliance projects in all countries by ensuring that the business complies with relevant laws and regulations set by governments and that BURN is positioned to negotiate the most conducive tax and duties environments across all countries.
Candidates will demonstrate a combination of technical knowledge, analytical skills, and interpersonal abilities regarding regional policies and regulations concerning import and export duties and local applicable taxes in Africa. Ideally, candidates will have excellent project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Corporate Affairs, to create cross-departmental project management tools and processes that enshrine the company's mission, support the policy team initiatives, manage crisis communication, and ensure that all external communication and activities are aligned with the organization's goals and values to operationalize a conducive tax and duty environment for the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Advocating for favourable tax policies and regulations that benefit the company's interests.

About the Role:

The Senior Product Owner – Electric is a critical role in driving the development and delivery of BURN’s electric products. As the primary owner of Product Requirements, this role ensures that BURN’s products meet technical, market, and customer needs. The Senior Product Owner works closely with the Product Managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to translate market requirements into actionable technical specifications and deliver high-quality products on time and within budget. 

This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented approach to backlog and schedule management, sprint prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless alignment between product development and market goals. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Product Development Leadership 

• Own and manage the Product Requirements Document (PRD), ensuring alignment with the Market Requirements Document (MRD) owned by Product Managers. 
• Translate customer and market insights into actionable product features and technical specifications. 
• Lead sprint planning and backlog prioritization, working closely with engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery. 
• Oversee the product development lifecycle, including stage gate reviews (Scoping & Feasibility, Preliminary Design, Detailed Design, EVT, DVT, PVT), ensuring all deliverables are met. 

Backlog and Sprint Management 

• Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog to align with business objectives and customer needs.

Risk Management and Compliance

About the Role:

The Senior Product Manager – Electric is the strategic leader responsible for driving BURN’s electric product market entry, customer adoption, and product success. This role combines market-facing strategy, customer insights, and operational oversight to ensure that BURN’s electric induction cookers (IDCs) achieve product-market fit and meaningful impact. Acting as the voice of the customer, the Senior Product Manager ensures that customer and market insights directly shape the product roadmap in collaboration with the Product Owner and development teams. 

The role requires a hands-on approach to piloting, validating market assumptions, and refining the economic value proposition for customers in new and existing markets. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Market Entry Strategy 

• Lead and execute the new market entry strategy for electric products, overseeing pilot phases and coordinating with Country Leads and local stakeholders. 
• Validate market readiness by analyzing infrastructure, fuel spending patterns, and repayment behaviors in residential and commercial segments. 
• Work with local teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations, certifications, and standards in each market.

The Senior Project Manager – Electric will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of BURN’s new market entry strategies and pilot programs for electric products. This role focuses on operational excellence, logistics, and coordination, serving as the key partner to the Senior Product Manager.

The Senior Project Manager ensures all functions—ranging from shipping and warehousing to team onboarding and on-the-ground training—are executed efficiently to support successful market launches and product pilots. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

New Market Entry Execution 

• Coordinate and manage the operational setup for new market entries, including: 
• Technology integrations with key partners in the market. 
• Warehousing and office setup. 
• Product shipping and delivery logistics. 

Stock management processes. 

• Lead the resource allocation and recruitment schedule of local teams in new markets. 
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies for all market entry activities.

About the role
The Technical Customer Representative Coordinator will be the coordinator for all Technical Customer Representatives in the field. Their 2 core roles will be: 

• They are the final checkpoint to ensure we issue products on credit (PayGo) only to the right customer (Customer profile in-person verification) 
• Is responsible for product installation and training and ensures we offer quality training to the customer at onboarding that ensures high usage and prompt & consistent repayment 
•  They will lead in the coordination of home delivery, in-person customer verification, customer education, product installation, product replacement, system training & utilization, replacement stock management & service tracking through accurate data entry in the BURN help desk system. 
• The role will focus on driving the achievement of field installation & collection KPIs through close collaboration with Commercial teams, Field Logistics and Customer Experience teams. 
• The overall aim is to ensure prompt installation, timely swaps of faulty units, efficient portfolio management in the field, VOC collection and early resolution of issues impacting repayment & product usage.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operational Coordination: 
  • Implement and oversee the technical care model and network rollout (TCR Model) of TCRs in alignment with BURN IDC strategic goals. 
  • Route planning - Plan and assign daily routes for confirmed sales, ensuring 100% planning for next-day delivery/installation. 
• Stock and Logistics Management: 
  • Reconcile stocks between warehouse teams and TCRs while maintaining accountability for field inventory. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, warehouse, logistics) and external vendors for efficient deliveries.

  • Maintain a minimum of 5 installations per day per TCR across the network. 
  • Stock and Inventory Accuracy: 
• Maintain 100% reconciliation of field stock (received vs. utilized vs. returned). 
  • Ensure zero tolerance for lost stocks 
• Faulty Unit Replacement and Repossession: 
  • Execute all swap requests for faulty units within 3 working days or as per updated SLA timelines. 
  • Ensure repossession turnaround time is under 5 working days or as per updated SLA timelines. 
• Reverse Logistics Management: 
  • Ensure a 100% retrieval rate of all faulty or repossessed units within SLA timelines. 
  • Establish proper documentation and data entry for 100% of returned units in the system. 
  • Ensure that 100% of retrieved units are received in warehouses. 
• Customer Feedback and Satisfaction: 
  • Collect Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback for each customer visit with actionable insights reported monthly.

• Credit Management Support:

• BURN is looking a Pan-African Customs Specialist responsible for ensuring compliance with customs regulations and laws and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete for the Group.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Pre-clearance and Post-clearance Compliance
  • Collaborate with the Procurement & Logistics Team to ensure accurate and timely customs declarations. This includes verifying the Harmonized System (HS) code, value of goods, applicable taxes and duties, and country of origin, among other details.
• Advanced Rulings and Binding Classifications
  • Apply for Advanced Rulings or Binding Classification Decisions from customs authorities in cases of potential classification disputes.
• Import/Export Licenses
  • Ensure all relevant countries maintain up-to-date Import/Export Licenses as required.
• Collaboration and Optimization
  • Work with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and trade experts to enhance the efficiency and compliance of cross-border goods movement.
• Regulatory Awareness and Communication
