Qualifications & Competencies:

Role Purpose:

• The Crop System Agronomist will utilize their expertise in applied field research and agronomic sciences to provide technical execution of trials in selected geographies and Crops. 
• This includes execution of the field-testing program which utilizes Research and Development protocols to support key business drivers for all facets of business platforms that include Seed, Trait, Biologicals, Crop Protection, and digital agronomic solutions /tools.

Role purpose:

• The incumbent will be responsible and accountable for setting and leading the strategy of addressing regulatory specific, as well as generic, policy issues that have the potential to affect critical assets and impact achievement of strategic BCS business objectives in Africa.

Role purpose

• Reporting directly to the local Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the jobholder is accountable for all Treasury matters within the country group. The main objectives are to assure liquidity for the business in the region, optimize legal & tax structures on local and regional level and ensure the optimal usage of financial resources; all in accordance with global guidance and local laws. Treasury ensures the optimal allocation, sourcing and management of financial resources.
• The jobholder oversees the cash management and banking structures for Bayer in the country group. The role also oversees the insurance portfolio of Bayer in the country group and comprises both global and local aspects of financial risk management.
