Job objective

As the Sales Manager - Veg, you will oversee day-to-day / Weekly operations of the Local sales team to ensure that operations are well run & that we have a dynamic Veg Local Sales Business. Improve standards and process management for sales and customer support activities to optimize sales reporting and quote to order practices. Develop operational standards and metrics to establish best in class customer support operations and ensure effectiveness of the customer management process. Drive Expo planning and brand image of the product with the clients.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Ensure that Clients are well managed, and action points are raised and implemented within the timeframe to ensure Client satisfaction.
• Ensure that the local sales team prepares planning for Orders to Packhouse, Delivery & Service level management.
• Visit the clients and ensure Planograms for product placement are in place to maximize sales.
• Assist with Client pricing formulations, communication, and changes.
• Ensure that each local sales team officer has a Key agenda for the Top 10 Clients and that on a monthly or quarterly basis we are achieving the sales targets set out.
• Coordinate NPD for New Clients
• Assist with Promotion planning and execution at client/ store levels.
• Assist with Planning for promotional materials and new Product Updates.
• Assist in planning for big promotions and coordinate with the field teams numbers of what is needed well in advance so that we can deliver.
• Ensure for new clients that on boarding forms are filled in, that orders are electronically placed via the portal or able to be electronically uploaded to the Veg manager.
• Conduct competitor reviews to analyze market trends and competition with a view to strategic positioning of prices and product placement.
• Expand upon existing developments from technical trials with a view to commercializing them into sales.
• Review trials being undertaken for developments, opportunities, and sales follow-up.
• Conduct follow-up and liaison for the company’s products and initiatives.
• Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas.
• Drive and train the Veg Local Sales team.
• Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. Quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
• Manage reporting for account status for weekly sales meeting.

Your profile

• Degree/Diploma in marketing/sales/Administration
• 5- 10 years’ experience in a similar post and knowledge of fresh produce would be beneficial.
• Experience in carrying out our market research and developing analysis, papers, surveys, and reports.
• Strong people management skills, with proven ability to manage a team to achieve their highest potential.
• Strong communication, presentation, and sales skills. Must be an excellent telephone and face-toface communicator. Confident and enthusiastic communicator essential.

Your profile

• As the Deputy Production Manager – Avocado Orchard you will be responsible for the oversight of all activities within the Simba Avocado orchards concerning production and general maintenance of all Simba orchards.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• General plant hygiene, observe and monitor plant health for signs of stress, disease or pest incursion.
• Fertilization and pest control activities as agreed with your immediate senior manager
• The utilization, management and maintenance of the irrigation system, pest control equipment, field working tools etc
• Quality control of recovered yields, all works undertaken etc
• Training new techniques and methodologies like propping, pruning, weeding, mulching etc
• Establishment of a model avocado within the farm with a high-level management.
• Ensure that all labor in the section is effective and efficient and that all staff achieves the recommended daily tasks.
• Plan and forecast avocado gapping plants required, operations etc
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the orchard such as nursery management, transplanting, irrigation, fertilization, pest management and harvesting

Your profile

• Degree in Horticulture/ Agriculture or a related field.
• Over 5 years of direct hands-on experience in managing Avocado Orchards, including production, crop husbandry, irrigation, fertilization and pest control.
• Proven experience in identifying and controlling pests and diseases in crops, including the application of pesticides and other control measures.
• Deeper agricultural knowledge of the avocado crop husbandry and seasons in East Africa
• In-depth understanding of the avocado husbandry practices.
• Strong skills in planning and managing crop production schedules to meet market demands, including transplanting, and maintaining plant health.

• As the Auto Motor vehicle electrician your role will involve undertaking automotive electrical maintenance, repairs of electrical wiring and computer-based equipment in motor vehicles, tractors, agricultural equipment and trucks.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• To diagnose and undertake electrical repairs as per the job cards.
• Service, identify and repair faults on electronically controlled vehicle systems such as electronic fuel injection, electronic ignition, anti-lock braking, automatic transmission, airbags and air conditioning.
• Install electrical equipment such as gauges, lighting, alternators and starter motors in vehicles tractors trucks and buses.
• Install electrically operated accessories such as radios, heating or demisting equipment, driving lamps and anti-theft systems.
• Refer to circuit diagrams and use meters and test instruments to find electrical faults.
• Test, recondition and replace faulty alternators, generators, starter motors and related items such as voltage regulators and batteries.
• Repair or replace faulty ignition, electrical wiring, fuses, lamps and switches.
• To complete all documentation including inspection sheets and Job cards
• Ensure hazardous waste is disposed correctly.
• Attend to breakdowns and assist with work in other section when requested.

Job objective

• A Senior Flower Airport Officer plays a key role in overseeing the loading and offloading of company vehicles, delivery of goods to the various sheds and handling of flowers at the airport. They will ensure compliance with the set regulations and timely shipment of the flowers. They will also verify the documentation process, prepare reports and ensure that all legal and administrative paperwork is in order.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Ensuring trucks are updated on arrival and departure from the airport.
• Supervise offloading of trucks on arrival at various agents in the airport.
• Ensure that the actual box count received tally with the delivery notes and in case of discrepancies to immediately report to the Head of Department.
• Ensure temperature readings of the products are taken on arrival of the truck and shared for onward transmission.
• Ensure that boxes being offloaded are properly handled by handling agent’s in order to guarantee safety of the products.
• Ensuring that all cargo delivered is weighed and all weight dockets counter checked before forwarding to Head Office.
• Ensure all the shipments from the farm have the correct security declarations and delivery notes to the handling agents/sheds as required.
